The Day I Saw Your Heart film

Indie & World Films at the Owatonna Public Library showed a French film filled with comedy and drama. In The Day I Saw Your Heart, an unexpected pregnancy threatens to tear a family apart but just might bring them closer together than ever.

Eli is approaching 60 when he learns that his new wife is expecting. When his two adult daughters, Dom and Justine, hear the news, their first reaction is outrage. Dom has been attempting to adopt a child for months with no success, and frivolous Justine couldn't make a commitment if her life depended on it.

Troubled by the ever-widening chasm between himself and Justine, Eli furtively befriends all of Justine’s exes. Justine surprises everyone by falling in love, and Eli's plan to get better acquainted with his daughter threatens to blow up in his face.
