Electronic Weapons Minneapolis and Mankato, Minnesota Hip Hop

The Spitflame label in Minneapolis will be throwing shows with Electronic Weapons in Minneapolis, Mankato and more in the coming months. Their next Twin Cities hip hop show is at the Capri Theater, 2027 W. Broadway Ave. in Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis show will feature Miracole and Kalayah Jones, two female artists in the area. The group will also head to Mankato to play at Savoy in May. Keep checking back to Slanted Mag for more details on upcoming shows from these performers.

Suit and Tie Genocide Upcoming Concert Dates

Suit and Tie Genocide Rock Band Minneapolis at Fine Line Music Cafe with Fuel.

Suit and Tie Genocide, a heavy rock and hardcore band from Minneapolis will be playing a series of shows coming up, including the following:

March 31 at Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis. They will be playing with Fuel, CageGods and Strange Daze. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and is an 18+ show. Tickets are $18 in advance and $23 at the door.

Soundset to Officially Kick Ass in 2014

Soundset 2014 tickets are on sale and the lineup for this year's ultimate Twin Cities/Midwest spring hip hop festival is off the chain! Performers include Cypress Hill, 2 Chainz, Nas, Wiz Khalifa, Atomsphere, Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt (EarlWolf), Prof, Grives and tons of other artists.


Valor Tracks Photo Album 2014

Valor Tracks, a local hardcore band whose members are far flung, has submitted a load of awesome photos from their live shows and other interesting pieces of history from the band. The members live in Mankato and parts of the Twin Cities like Bloomington. They have played at sold out shows in LaCrosse and they are a frequent guest at the local What's Up Lounge in Mankato. Music on the Hill from Mankato Symphony Orchestra

Mankato, MN—The Mankato Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the third concert in the chamber series Music on the Hill, titled “Elegant Impressions.” It will be held on Sunday, March 16 at 2 pm in the chapel at Good Counsel. Jill Mahr, principal flutist in the MSO, will be making her debut by playing Mozart’s Flute Quartet No. 1 followed by an introduction to Argentine composer, Alberto Ginastero, with his beautiful composition Impresiones de la Puna. The concert will conclude with Mendelssohn’s String Quartet op. 13.

Phenom, otherwise known as Brandon Pulphus, tore it up at the What's Up Lounge in late January for his Northern Versatility 2 release.
