Twin Rivers Presents 'Mental Stills' Photography Exhibit in Mankato

Mental Stills

Mankato (MN) – Twin Rivers Council for the Arts will be hosting a new photography exhibit by Mankato artist Hanna Newman titled, Mental Stills. The exhibition will feature black and white photographs taken over two years capturing varying states of mental being. The content of the photographs portray multiple settings, such as the Northern woods of Minnesota, abandoned houses and Newman’s own personal spaces. The photograph’s represent moments of well-being and distortion, narcissism and self-loathing, logic and nonsense, happiness and depression. The show will run from October 15 – November 18 in the Emy Frentz Arts Guild Gallery, 523 S 2nd Street, Mankato. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, October 15 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
