Hairspray will take stage at Minnesota State University, Mankato for several July dates, running July 10-12 and 16-19, put on by Department of Theatre & Dance at MSU, according to the St. Peter Herald.

Mankato’s iconic event is back! On Saturday, June 28 the Barefoot Winos and the Mankato Symphony will take the stage at Riverfront Park. The Winos are one of Mankato’s most popular blues bands and will be sure to delight the crowd. The MSO will play lighter pops fare, including some patriotic favorites and some brand new movie and TV theme music. Listen closely because we’ll ask you to name that theme!

A few months ago, Mankato Mosaic director Greg Abbott asked NUACT's Paul Warshauer about lighting for a show in a Mankato parking ramp. Warshauer, whose family has been in the parking business since 1929 jumped at the opportunity! The result of those discussions will be seen this weekend in Mankato and in New Ulm.

Mankato Comedy's Last Show in Mankato at Busters

Mankato Comedy has had a good run, with performances twice per month for a year at the Mankato Event Center, but due to a lack of financing for the last show of the year there the local comedy business made a change of venue to Busters Bar for their final performance, featuring Dwight York and hosted by Zack Kolars.

Mankato Mosaic: April Fools’ Show has bigger stars, more comedy – and that’s no joke!

Cabaret Le Ruse’s “Fool Me Once” will feature musicians Billy Steiner, Ron Arsenault and Dave Pengra. And the comedy skits keep coming as the troupe performs its April Fools show 8 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Arts Center of St. Peter and 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 at the Mankato Event Center.
