SAINT PETER, MINN. – Two solo exhibitions exploring human dignity and integrity will be on display August 14 through September 13 at the Arts Center of Saint Peter, with an opening reception Saturday, August 15, 3:00-5:00 p.m.

“Encounters: Work in Silverpoint and Graphite” features drawings by Tom Hessel of Minnetonka, a lifelong artist and retired art director who is a founding member and past president of the Hopkins Area Arts Association.

SAINT PETER, MINN. – Good Night Gold Dust, the four-piece indie pop quartet known for energetic live performances as well as hosting the house concert series “The Gold Mine,” will release its new EP, “Good Night Gold Dust,” with a concert at the Arts Center of Saint Peter on Saturday, August 29 at 7:00 p.m.

Good Night Gold Dust is Laura Schultz and Colin Scharf on vocals and guitar; Michelle Roche on drums, and Zachary Arney on synthesizers. This lineup, formed in April 2014, teamed up with Minneapolis producer Brett Bullion (Bad Bad Hats, Caroline Smith) from

Old Shapes, New Forms

SAINT PETER, MINN. – “Old Shapes, New Forms,” wood sculpture by Paynesville, Minn. artist Cal Davidson, will be on display at the Arts Center of Saint Peter from July 3 through August 9.

Davidson, a retired middle school art teacher and interior decorator, has a lifelong interest in woodworking and wood sculpture. His artistic pursuits also include printmaking, dark room hotography, painting, drawing and theater set design and stage direction.




SAINT PETER, MINN. – The Arts Center of Saint Peter will feature “Visual Sonnets,” paintings by Mankato-based artist, entrepreneur and activist Patti Ruskey, from April 4-May 4 in the Arts Center’s Moline Gallery. “Visual Sonnets,” including selected works recently exhibited at the Bloomington Arts Center, explores themes of social disharmony, social class stratification and relationships between humans and the natural world.
